Our Sins Have Disappeared

* * *

Ways the Bible Describes this Mystery

Psalm 65:3 Sins overwhelmed me, but you atoned for our transgressions.

Psalm 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord: “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. . . .”

Isaiah 43:25 I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake; and I will not remember your sins.

Isaiah 44:22 I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.

Jeremiah 33:8 I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, by which they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, by which they have sinned against me, and by which they have transgressed against me.

Jeremiah 50:20 In those days, and in that time, says the Lord, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be no one; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I leave as a remnant.

Ezekiel 36:25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you . . .

Micah 7:18-19 Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage? He doesn’t retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness. He will again have compassion on us. He will tread our iniquities under foot; and you will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

John 1:29 The next day, he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”

Acts 3:19 “Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord.”

Romans 6:6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.

Romans 6:11 Thus consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 11:27 This is my covenant to them, when I will take away their sins.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom. Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness. I will remember their sins and lawless deeds no more.

Hebrews 10:17I will remember their sins and their iniquities no more.”
