Whenever something is not entirely my own work, I have indicated this. Over the years, literally thousands of people have e-mailed me in response to my webpages and occasionally something they have said has so gripped me that I longed to share it with a wider audience. Confidentiality is too important to me to do this without seeking their full permission. Often these people touch on sensitive issues and they have understandably asked that I spare them and/or their loved ones embarrassment by not publishing their full name. Sometimes even for their first name I have provided a pen name. Many times, sharing a testimony has taken more work on my part than writing something from scratch as I have had to keep consulting them to be true to what they are saying while making it as readable and entertaining as possible. Occasionally I have almost entirely rewritten what they originally shared with me and often I include my own thoughts, if my additions are consistent with the heart of what the person wishes to share.
