Romans 6:4,6 We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life . . . Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin

Romans 8:4  . . . who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Romans 8:13 For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

Romans 13:12  . . . Let’s therefore throw off the deeds of darkness, and let’s put on the armor of light.

1 Peter 2:11 Beloved, I beg you as foreigners and pilgrims, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul.
