Peter was, of course, filled with the Holy Spirit, on the day of Pentecost:
Acts 2:4 They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other languages, as the Spirit gave them the ability to speak.
On a completely different occasion we read:
Acts 4:8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said . . .
Still later, we read:
Acts 4:31 When they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were gathered together. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
Stephen was chosen because he was “full of the Spirit”:
Acts 6:3 Therefore select from among you, brothers, seven men of good report, full of the Holy Spirit and of wisdom . . .
Nevertheless, just before his martyrdom, we read:
Acts 7:55 But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God
Of Saul, whose dramatic conversion is described chapters earlier, we read:
Acts 13:9-10 But Saul, who is also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, fastened his eyes on him, and said . . .
