The Innocence of Children



Deuteronomy 1:39 Moreover your little ones, whom you said should be captured or killed, and your children, who today have no knowledge of good or evil, they shall go in there, and I will give it to them, and they shall possess it.

Isaiah 7:16 For before the child knows to refuse the evil, and choose the good . . .

Jonah 4:11 Shouldn’t I be concerned for Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred twenty thousand persons who can’t discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much livestock?

Matthew 18:3 and Jesus said, “Most certainly I tell you, unless you turn, and become as little children, you will in no way enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. . . .”

Romans 9:11-12 For being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him who calls, it was said to her, “The elder will serve the younger.”

1 Corinthians 14:20  . . . In malice be babies, but in thoughts be mature.
