Mercy/Love

The same word that the King James Version translates mercy in these verses it often translates elsewhere as kindness, lovingkindness, or goodness. The word is so closely related to love that many other versions use some variant of love, such as unfailing love, steadfast love, faithful love, gracious love, loyal love, lovingkindness, kindness, or simply love.
