Love as Jesus Loved

John 6:70-71 Jesus answered them, “Didn’t I choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?” Now he spoke of Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, for it was he who would betray him, being one of the twelve.

John 13:1-2,5  . . . having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. During supper, the devil having already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him . . . Then he poured water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another.

1 John 3:16 By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
