God’s secrets

    Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong to the Lord our God; but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

    Proverbs 2:1-5 My son, if you will receive my words, and store up my commandments within you . . . apply your heart to understanding; Yes, if you call out for discernment, and . . . search for her as for hidden treasures: then you will . . . find the knowledge of God.

    Proverbs 4:4 . . . Let your heart retain my words. Keep my commandments, and live.

    Jeremiah 15:16 Your words were found, and I ate them; and your words were to me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by your name, the Lord, God of Armies.

    John 15:7 If you remain in me, and my words remain in you  . . .

    Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.

Praying for understanding of Scripture

    Psalm 119:18 Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.

    Psalm 119:19  . . . Don’t hide your commandments from me.

    Psalm 119:125 I am your servant. Give me understanding, that I may know your testimonies.

    Psalm 119:144 Your testimonies are righteous forever. Give me understanding, that I may live.

    Psalm 119:169 Let my cry come before you, Lord. Give me understanding according to your word.

Growing in spiritual knowledge

    Colossians 1:10  . . . growing in the knowledge of God (NIV)

    2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. . . .

    Ephesians 1:16-17 making mention of you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.

    Jeremiah 33:3 Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great things, and difficult, which you don’t know.
